The 5-Minute Nap-Time Reset
The house is quiet. You have one window. Instead of doom-scrolling until they wake up cranky (been there), pick one thing off this menu. That's the whole plan.
Pick one. Just one.
- Body reset Stretch on the floor, step outside for real air, or drink a full glass of water before the coffee. Reset the machine.
- Mind reset Sit with your iced coffee and do nothing but drink it. No phone. Five minutes of quiet is a personality transplant.
- Joy reset One song you love, loud, in the kitchen. A chapter of your book. Text the friend who makes you laugh.
- Space reset Clear ONE surface — the counter, the coffee table. A single tidy corner tricks your brain into calm.
- The nothing Lie down. Close your eyes. You are allowed to rest without earning it. This counts. This is the good one.
Permission slip
- ☑ The dishes can wait five minutes.
- ☑ Rest is not lazy. It's maintenance.
- ☑ You don't have to be productive to be worthy.
- ☑ A calm mama is the whole household's weather.
Tiny rules that protect the window
- ☐ Phone in another room (or face-down + on silent)
- ☐ Prep the reset the night before (book by the chair)
- ☐ Don't start a task you can't finish in 5
- ☐ Set a gentle 5-min timer so you actually stop
